back from the box(es)
Gah.
Packing, moving, stressing, fixing, assembling, watching, working, shopping, breathing.
So many adjectives, so little time.
Changing addresses is incredibly life consuming. You poke your head out of an ikea box and realize two weeks have passed and you’re facing a southwest view of the skyline instead of brick wall. Cool.
Even with all the hullabaloo, I’ve still had time for most of the important things, like eating chicken wings and watching battlestar galactica. It’s all about setting priorities, you see. We’ve been running the boxes and bins through a triage system. Those most in need of attention (ie, tv, computer, books) were quickly given due attention, while the less affected (clothes, bills, cleaning supplies) have yet to be assigned a room. They will be out and about soon, but there all only so many hours in the day, many of which are unfortunately devoted to working for the man. Hopefully, the man will settle down a bit soon, maybe contemplate a brief nap over the holidays, and allow me some time to catch up non-branded writing. That would be nice. Until then it’s just stolen moments with my keyboard.
Mmmmm, humbug.
