Listening. Always listening. Hearing our movements, our pulse, our secrets. Gnashing teeth do the physical damage, but their game is mental. Fluffy and wistful, they approach. Nose twittering, watching as we drop our defences, tearing down our pre-conceived notions of danger. Then, they strike.
