Head wet with midnight dew

I’m sending my first official manuscript out into the world today. Not coincidently, I had a dream last night in which a man in a large bowler hat appeared at my door and told me that said manuscript was unoriginal. He thought the whole thing would be better if it came from the POV of a cat. It was hard to argue with him. He had forms signed by important-sounding people. It was all very official.

Best of luck, Stacy! I’ve always thought you were a very sensitive and insightful writer (if in desperate need of spell-checking software). :)
Your dream’s a little hilarious, if you don’t mind me saying so. I mean, what story isn’t made better by telling it through a cat’s eyes?

If you think she needs a spell checker you haven’t seen my writing, heh.
(Thank god Firefox has one built into it’s text entries as I just mis-spelled writing.)

Touche, Dan.
I think The Bible would rock if it was from a cat’s POV.
Also, The DaVinci Code. Just to make it mildly readable.

Hee! I second that opinion re: The Davinci Code. I can’t say I’m a big fan of the (ill-thought out) controversy=good school of writing.
